The vineyard of Burgundy extends over nearly 250 kilometers on the departments of Yonne, Côte d'Or, and Saône et Loire. The department of Yonne includes the appellations of Chablis , the best known, but also Sauvignon de Saint Bris and Epineuil, wines with beautiful typicities, which should gain notoriety in the coming years. The Côte d'or brings the most prestigious wines of Burgundy : here Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune are separated. The first is a land of great red wine, the other a land of white, but magnificent exceptions, linked to outcrops of rocks and earths suitable for each color, proves that listening to the earth and Nature, man can easily create fabulous, rare, but unfortunately expensive things (most of the time!). The Saône et Loire is largely the homeland of Gamay and light red wines, but here again some winegrowers have chosen to work differently, growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnays. The result is often up to expectations. Almost all of the Burgundy appellations impose the production of unassembled wine: in this case, we mean a single-grape variety, where only one grape variety belongs to the wines. The Kings of Burgundy are the Pinot noirs for red wines, the Chardonnay for white wines. Gamay, aligoté, or pinot blanc grapes are used for smaller cuvées. What can be retained is that the region of Burgundy wines harbors real treasures, sought after throughout the world by lovers of great wines. At Defi Vin, we have sought, through our selection, to make you enjoy magnificent wines, from reasoned cultures, whose producers are concerned about the quality of their cuvées and respect for consumers (and their wallets ...). We left the main roads, dived in the heart of Burgundy to find wines, which we hope will also seduce you by their finesse or their power.   Good visit.   And if the heart tells you: Good tasting!
