Recognized since 1970, AOC Chorey-les-Beaune is a relatively recent appellation of the north of the Côte de Beaune , in Burgundy . The 134-hectare vineyard of Chorey les Beaune is located to the east of the Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune appellations, on a clayey-limestone soil of a plain almost exclusively exploited in wines. In spite of an undeniable quality, no climat (Plot) is classified in first cru in appellation Chorey-les-Beaune. The red wines of Chorey-les-Beaune come from Pinot Noir. They are supple and light, not very tannic but of good intensity. Aromatic, their color is often clear. The notes of red fruits are associated with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. A little licorice and humus. Only 4% of production, the Chorey-the-Beaune white nevertheless progress in volume. Normal. Originating from Chardonnay, the wines are well structured, with beautiful tannins. All round, they are fruity with notes of white flowers and almonds. They gain in roundness with age.
