In Burgundy, appellation Premier Cru , generally divided into Closes, each with a very specific and often evocative name (it is also necessary to know the "old" Burgundian, but we will see this again). This is called climate and this mention is added on the label when the wine produced comes from one and the same closed. This indication is important for consumers who can thus have a "traceability" of their purchase. However, it should be noted that a wine with no mention of climate remains nevertheless of a very high quality: everything depends on the winemaker and his philosophy. There are 562 climates in Burgundy representing 10% of the total annual production. It goes without saying that some wine-growers have only a small plot, and sometimes produce only one piece of wine (300 bottles). This explains in large part the prices charged in Burgundy: law of rarity, law of supply and demand. But do not misunderstand us. Their sensuality, their suavity, their aromatic palette, allow the wines of Burgundy, and even more to the wines of appellation Premier Cru to make forget their price.   - Appellation Grand Cru : the most qualitative, and the rarest (1.5% of total production). Chambertin, Romanée Conti, Corton Charlemagne, red Corton, Chevalier Montrachet. Names that evoke power and wealth ... and only few people will have the pleasure of being able to taste such nectars. There are 34 Grands Crus, the entirety of which is on the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, except the appellation Chablis Grand Cru (composed of 7 climates). Our operation on the Premier Cru of Burgundy wines represents our best wines of Burgundy. Small selection : Great satisfaction.
