2014 is a heterogeneous, complicated vintage. It was, however, saved in most parts of France by hot and sunny September and October, with just enough rain to allow the vines to produce fully mature grapes. In Bordeaux, it seems that Medoc wines had more than elsewhere, the ideal weather conditions at the end of the season. The Libournais had a little less luck, but very good successes are to be noted. Excellent for white wines in Burgundy, the vintage 2014 is a symbol of finesse and elegance for red wines. The wines of the Rhone valley are also at an unmatched level since the 2008 vintage. Deep and fresh, they also reached volumes upward and sufficient to meet demand. The same is true in Provence.
